The fast run at around 8sec sounds only good with the Pure Piano app. Needless to say your comments are welcome Notice the sustain of each piano at the end (notes held on purpose) I tried to get a very "classical" sound, with a singing tone and prominent medium content, as to my liking. Maybe it is rather related to my iPhone XS + iOS said:įollowing invitation to post this comparison as a new thread, you will find below my own comparison of the 3 "high quality" pianos I own on iOS :įor the comparison to be fair, I tried to equalize as best as I could the 3 pianos regarding : I am not 100% convinced it is related to Bluetooth. A very good and solid performer for live playing !ĮDIT : To be honest, I don’t know if Ravenscroft « issue » regarding MIDI throttle would not occur with a wired connection. This is what stroke me the first time I played Pure Piano : no latency, no jitter, no throttle, no crack, no polyphony issues. So it is exactly the same midi input but it seems some pianos app can’t handle fast enough MIDI events and throttle whereas Pure piano manages it much better.

But then I simply copy/pasted the midi track to create the 2 others pianos tracks. The problem is that Ravenscroft can get totally lost when receiving MIDI thru Bluetooth, introducing enormous delay at some point on certain notes (let’s call it « Midi throttle »). But when I recorded, it was Ravenscroft that I used to monitor my playing. I forgot to mention that I recorded in GarageBand with my keyboard sending MIDI message thru bluetooth. Does Ravenscroft always glitch out for you like that? Is it a polyphony issues that only shows up in fast runs?
